Jubilee pilgrimage for children to Prague.

Early on Saturday morning, we set off by train towards the main station in Prague. Our walking journey led us from the main station through Wenceslas Square, where we stopped at the statue of Saint Wenceslas, through the Old Town Square and Charles Bridge to the Prague Infant Jesus. Here, we knelt to present our requests and quietly adored before the Prague Infant Jesus. After that, we set off on the next part of our pilgrimage. Our steps directed us to Petřín, where we took advantage of the sacrament of reconciliation, the Stations of the Cross, and time for personal activities. From Petřín, we continued to the pilgrimage site, the Strahov Basilica of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary. Here, we had a private Mass with a wonderful sermon by Fr. Marcin and took the opportunity to gain partial or plenary indulgences. We also thank Mr. Ochozka for the beautiful organ accompaniment. At our last stop on this pilgrimage, we visited one more pilgrimage site, the Prague Loreto. Here, the provincial of the local monastery, Brother Vojtěch, was already waiting for us. We learned something about the history of this pilgrimage site and were able to see the Holy Hut and, for example, the exhibition in the New Treasury, one of the oldest nativity scenes, and also hear the baroque carillon. There was of course much more, and we owe a big thank you to Brother Vojtěch for that. After that, we only had the return journey to the station waiting for us, and finally, the trip home.

The journey was not easy; some pilgrims had sore feet, others were cold, but our hearts were all warmed by God's love and presence as well as by mutual fellowship. We thank all the pilgrims.

We are already looking forward to the new pilgrimage awaiting us in May. We will travel to Sušice on May 24, 2025.
