Parish in Your Pocket: Your spiritual life at your fingertips
Modern technology is increasingly becoming a part of everyday life – and the life of faith is no exception. The Diocese of České Budějovice therefore supports the use of the mobile application Parish in Your Pocket, which connects parishioners and diocesan members with their parish and diocese simply, clearly, and up-to-date.
WHAT DOES THE APPLICATION OFFER?
The Parish in Your Pocket application, developed by IT2GO as part of the IS Omnia system, brings a number of practical features for anyone who wants to stay in contact with their parish and diocese – simply, clearly, and up-to-date.
Main features of the application:
- Display of content from the websites of parishes and the Pastoral Center, which the user can select themselves.
- Current schedule of services including the option to follow available intentions.
- Notifications (alerts – can be found in the application settings) by category – the user can set what types of information they want to receive. The following categories are available:
- For everyone
- For families
- For children
- For youth
- For seniors
- Direct communication – parishioners can receive messages directly from the parish or pastoral center.
The application is intended for all Roman Catholic parishes involved in the Parish Agenda system and is an ideal tool for those who want to be an active part of the church's life even while on the go.
Why download it?
Thanks to the Parish in Your Pocket application, you have an overview of events in your parish and the entire diocese anytime and anywhere. It is a great helper for anyone who wants to be an active part of church life – whether it’s participating in services, pastoral events, or just a quick overview of announcements.
